It's turning into a long hot summer, we hope you are coping with the heat and enjoy this update on the meadow.

We have have been busy since our AGM back in September and lots to share from sewing seeds, to caring for trees and...getting new bins!

Some great work has been done in recent weeks to help manage the meadows and the Trust has been greatly helped by The Skill Mill volunteers and the 3rd Farnham Scouts.

Spring has almost sprung on the Bishop’s Meadow with the first catkins dangling from the hazel trees along the banks of the River Wey.

We recently underwent some extensive work on the Meadows which involved a safety inspection of a line of poplars along the northern boundary of Bishops Meadow.

One of the first tasks for us to tackle was the abundant vegetation from the bottom and one side of the Tudor Ditch. The Ditch gets most of its water from the Pengilly Road area surface drain run off. When the weather has been dry and hot like much of this year, it's no wonder that when the rains do come, the vegetation jumps with joy and gets growing!
