At the AGM on Sunday 20th January, members of the Trust celebrated the successes of the last year

Hibernation was the subject of last month's column from the Bishop's Meadow Trust and the space2grow, two local charities preserving more than 30 acres of natural water meadows running alongside the River Wey in the centre of Farnham.

Farnham Town Council is celebrating what may well be its best result yet in this year's South and South East in Bloom competition.

On a glorious summer day, 30 children from Badshot Lea Village Infant School, St Andrews C of E Infant school and St Peter's C of E Primary School came to the Bishop's Meadow with parents and teachers for a day of fun activities.

At the end of the summer term, in keeping with discovering about and helping the local community, the 3rd Farnham Cub Scouts visited Bishop’s Meadow as guests of the Bishop’s Meadow Trust.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing hot summer and lack of rain, there is not enough grass growing for the cattle to eat.

The introduction of cattle is a trial and is intended to encourage flower growth, and discourage the growth of weeds.

A small but enthusiastic group of members attended the Bishop’s Meadow Trust AGM on Saturday 7th October 2017.  Five Board Members were also present.
